Celebrating 10 years of cultural resistance: The Freedom Theater, Jenin, Palestine. They payed tribute to a good friend and fellow freedom activist, actor, co-founder of the Freedom Theater, and my personal advisor: JULIANO MER KHAMIS. He advised me on how to organize freedom demonstrations. I have organized and participated in them in Palestine and Israel since I met him in 2005. April 6th, 2016. See photo below:

Frank Romano having dinner with Gideon Levy (4th from left to right), his partner, Catrin Ormestad (1st from left to right) and other guests in their home in Tel Aviv. Gideon Levy is a well-known Israeli journalist and author. He writes opinion pieces and a weekly column for the newspaper Haaretz that often focus on the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories. He often courageously opposes that ruthless occupation and Israeli policies and actions against Gaza. Catrin Ormestad, originally from Sweden, is an author! Her latest novel was just published in Sweden and is currently being printed. March 31st, 2016.

Great interfaith discussion about peaceful solutions for the Holy Land. Also, author event: Love & Terror in the Middle East, 4th Ed. Tmol-Shilshom Bookstore-Café Restaurant, Yo’el Moshe Salomon Street 5, Jerusalem, Israel. March 29th, 2016. See photo below:

Dr. Frank Romano was invited by the eminent Professor Walid Abusrour to talk to two of his classes at Birzeit University, near Ramallah, West Bank, the most famous university in Palestine and one of the most prestigious universities in the Middle East. He shared with the students his peace/freedom efforts in Israel and Palestine, chronicled in my book, “Love and Terror in the Middle East, 4th Edition.”
The students were upbeat, very alert and often contributed to the discussion. They seemed focused and inspired, in spite of the fact that the university was recently under siege (at least twice in the last month), and then attacked by Israeli soldiers who arrested students and faculty, activists against the occupation and confiscated some computers. So the Israeli politicians profess that Israel is a democracy while violating the most fundamental principles of any “democracy,” free speech and free association??
Also, under the Oslo accords, Birzeit University, is under the jurisdiction of the PA, the Palestinian government. But Israeli troops intervene in the Palestinian sector, anytime, anywhere, often without notifying the Palestinian Authority. Another indication that the Oslo accords are either totally or almost totally void! In the 2nd photo, Frank Romano is sitting at a desk with the students. March 19, 2016. See photo below:
